Waldo Chocolade & Patisserie is one of the best places in Haarlem to treat your sweet tooth to decadent mini desserts. Here you can expect a wide variety of beautifully presented mini desserts full of flavour.

Waldo Chocolade & Patisserie is the only place in Haarlem where I can find lemon meringue pie that is reminiscent of my childhood. It is tangy, airy and not overly sweet. Perfection!

Waldo’s stand at Haarlem’s weekly Saturday market on the Grote Markt is well known amongst locals. However, I prefer to enjoy their desserts at Waldo’s cheerful café in Lange Veerstraat. It is a small but cosy space that’s perfect for breakfast or lunch, coffee and cake (also try the brownies) or even a high tea.

If you live in Amsterdam, you can enjoy the Waldo experience at two locations: Elandsgracht 91 in Jordaan and at Eerste Sweelinckstraat 14 in De Pijp. And while you’re in Amsterdam, look out for the flower bikes of Amsterdam and take my walking tour of De Wallen.
Waldo Chocolade & Patisserie (Haarlem) operating hours:
Tuesday 11:00 – 17:30
Wednesday to Saturday 8:30 – 17:30
Closed on Sunday and Monday
See more of Haarlem
There is so much to see and do in the centre of Haarlem. One of the best things about Haarlem is that it is small enough to explore on foot. Get lost in the labyrinth of quaint streets and see if you can find Haarlem’s narrowest house (tip: it isn’t far from Waldo’s…).
