I have discovered a delightful tiny café and to-go coffee spot in Haarlem that’s probably as big as my kitchen. Coffee Habits is about 15 square metres, but in this case size isn’t important. The coffee is full of flavour and the sweet treats are so delicious. I always go back for more.

The sweet treats display is full of delicious things and it is just impossible to walk away from it empty-handed. The lemon cake was the most delicious I’ve ever had. I also love the cinnamon buns and brownies. The coffee is from Manhatten Coffee Roasters, a speciality coffee roaster in Rotterdam.
Treat yourself to something tasty at this tiny cafe and to-go coffee spot next time you find yourself in Haarlem’s city centre. I also like to support it because it is independently owned. There is some outside seating where you can enjoy your coffee and cake while doing some people-watching.

Barista workshops
Coffee Habits also hosts barista workshops where you can learn about speciality coffee or latte art. Or, how about a barista workshop gift voucher? I think this would be such a fun gift!
While you’re in the centrum, explore more of Haarlem’s hidden streets. Walk to Korte Annastraat in De Vijfhoek area, find Omvaalspoort or look for Haarlem’s narrowest house. If you’re hungry, enjoy some French flavours at Crêpe Boutique Ti Bisou.
Opening hours:
Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 15:00
